OxygenOS 5.1.3 Brings Various Fixes To The OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T

Following two OxygenOS 5.1.7 and 5.1.8 updates for the OnePlus 6, the company has introduced a new update for its OnePlus 5 and 5T handsets.

OxygenOS 5.1.3 is now rolling out to the OnePlus 5 and 5T handsets, and this is not a huge update, but does bring some necessary fixes to the two phones. OxygenOS 5.1.3 does not bring any new features to the table, though, so keep that in mind.

This update will bring an updated bootloader to both devices, which will basically enhance system security on both smartphones.

General bug fixes and improvements have also been listed in the company’s official changelog for this update, and OnePlus has also fixed a stability issue with the Bluetooth connection for cars.

That’s pretty much everything that OnePlus listed in its official changelog. It is worth noting that this is update will not reach every single OnePlus 5 and 5T unit straight away, some of you will have to wait about a week or two in order to get the update, but it will arrive to your phone OTA (Over-the-Air).

Now, you can force this update to become available for your phone, though you’ll need to install a VPN app from the Google Play Store, select Canada as your country of preference, activate the connection, and the update should be available for you straight away.

Depending on which app you opt to use, it may be wise to terminate the connection before you start downloading the update, as most apps out there will limit your download speed and it will make the whole process unnecessarily long.
