OnePlus and McLaren have held a launch event and, yes, we’ve got the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition.
The McLaren Edition differs from the standard edition by offering 10GB of RAM, joining the likes of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, Nubia Red Magic 2 and the Black Shark
The phone also offers 30-watt charging via a “Warp Charge 30” adapter in the box, with OnePlus promising a day’s power in 20 minutes. This is opposed to the standard model’s “a day’s power in half an hour” tagline.
Other than these two changes, we’re looking at the same internals as the top-end OnePlus 6T. So that means a Snapdragon 845 chipset, 256GB of storage, a 3,700mAh battery, in-display fingerprint sensor, a 16MP+20MP rear camera pairing, and a 16MP selfie snapper. And yes, the headphone jack is still missing.
The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will be available in Western Europe and North America from December 13. India, China, and Nordic countries will get the phone “soon after.” As for the price, you’ll need to splash out $699, 699 euros, or 649 pounds to own this special edition device.
