OnePlus 5 and 5T will get Google Lens and camera improvements in next update

OnePlus is now adding another interesting new feature to the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T: Google Lens. The latest OxygenOS open beta build brings Google Lens support and a couple of camera improvements.

If you’re running an OxygenOS beta build on the OnePlus 5 or 5T, you’ll be receiving this update OTA (over-the-air), so you won’t have to do anything special. Otherwise, you’ll have to flash this build using the instructions provided by OnePlus here.

Apart from adding Google Lens support, this update should also bring improved photo clarity and optimizations, which are meant to prevent  the oil painting effect.

The changes, along with others that OnePlus had been testing on the 5 and 5T smartphones, are expected to be implemented in a future update.

OnePlus filed a trademark for the ‘Warp Charge’ name, related to its fast charging technology
